Origin Story:
Idunn is a first-generation immigrant from Norway, bringing a unique perspective and cultural richness to her work. Her love for children is evident in her over 15 years of experience in the field, shaping her journey towards creating a nurturing space for young learners.
Expertise & Passion:
With an associate's degree in Child Development and Social & Behavioral Sciences, Idunn's knowledge is deep-rooted in understanding the developmental needs of children. As a Newborn Care Specialist and Pediatric Sleep Consultant, she is dedicated to providing holistic care and support to both children and parents.
Academic Leadership:
Idunn's career has taken her from California, where she led the Academics Department at an Early Childhood Education college, to her current home in Louisiana. Her professional background reflects her commitment to academic excellence and innovative approaches to early childhood education.
Making Slidell Home:
Having moved frequently due to her stepfather's service in the Marine Corps, Idunn finally found her place of belonging in Slidell. Recognizing the lack of engaging activities for children in the area, she embarked on a mission to fill this gap by opening an indoor play space at Explore Learn & Play.

Idunn's vision is to create a space where children can learn and play simultaneously, fostering a love for exploration, creativity, and growth. Through her dedication to providing a stimulating and interactive environment, she aims to empower young minds and inspire a lifelong love for learning.
